2024 in the second round of the UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup -- the park race and the Peace Race -- and the French won the women's and men's Park races, the Japanese team won the double in the flat. The riders performed in the stands packed with enthusiastic spectators.

Fise Montpellier provided the largest audience for the BMX freestyle competition, while the five-day festival around the Leeds River attracted about five hundred thousand people. In the park and on the ground, fans can be seen from every corner trying to catch a glimpse of the game. The athletes are not disappointed!

While some park riders have chosen to focus on the first round of the Olympic Qualifying Series (OQS) in Shanghai, China, next weekend Montpellier has no shortage of talented riders to put on a good show.

Women's Park: Shimon Peres overtakes Ozawa

At the women's Park, 14-year-old Misaki Ozawa surprised the qualifying crowd. The Japanese youngster beat the others by nine points-her truck driver's astounding level of movement on boxes, backflips, tail flings and X-up spins.

In the final, Laury Shimon Peres began by spinning her spine 360 degrees, something she had never performed during qualifying. The French woman added a back flip to the jump box and a tail whip to a quarter-pipe to put pressure on young riders from Japan.

Sanchun fell in the first round with a backflip, and in the second final she threw everything into the basket. She did a straight backflip without a backflip, and ignoring the truck drivers in the qualifying rounds, which lowered the score by a notch. That still put the teenager on the podium (in second place) , ahead of Sasha Pardoe of Great Britain, who made his UCI World Cup debut in a gruelling race.

Man's Park: Jean Jean is dazzling

The absence of some of the park's drivers provides an opportunity for others to shine in Montpellier. Australia brought their development team with them, and Japan sent two young fashion riders to the final: Jae Mogaki Mogaki and the older brother of silver medalist Miharu Ozawa. Zolt án újv ár y (Hungary) , Reef Way (UK) and Sam Grace (Australia) entered the final for the first time.

The title battle is being fought between Brandon Lubos (Australia) , who is back in top form after recovering from injury, and home favourites Antony Jean. Lubos won the first place, so he can see how the Frenchman performs. Jean Jean did not waste any time, he personally performed each technique, let the audience feel happy.

Loupos responded with 91.32 points -- just shy of the lead -- and when his second round didn't go as planned, Anthony Jeanjean was still in first place. France had a strong showing at the Paris Olympics this summer.

British Olympic bronze medalist Decrane Brooksville finished third.

Women's flat: Suzuki leads the way

This year's women's World Cup at UCI Flatlands attracted a record number of entries, with Japanese riders dominating the eight-woman final in the second round. Hungarian Anna Mondics and Veronika Kádár finished seventh and eighth, respectively, while French Princess Louise of Orléans Seigneur finished fourth.

The remaining places in the final were all taken by the Japanese team. Kirara Hakakawa won bronze, Ayuna Miyashima Silver and Nina Suzuki won the UCI BMX Freestyle Flat World Cup in Montpellier.

Men Flatland: Shoji wins, Dandois fashion strikes

Montpellier was Matthias, Holy Roman Emperor Dendova's last big game. The French superstar has been delighted to be in the final, but with the support of his home fans he has taken his cycling to a new level, finishing first with only three drivers left... ...

when Yu and Kio Katagiri can't Top Dandois, 2023 UCI BMX Flatland World Champion Yu Shoji will see if he can The talented rider managed to spin his skills quickly, switch feet faster than others, and ride in a primitive manner.
