Bicycles are one of the popular means of transportation for daily travel. But sometimes we also encounter some problems, such as the issue of brake insensitivity mentioned by netizens today, which may be caused by the aging of brake oil absorbing too much moisture in the air to form bubbles. Below, the editor will explain the steps and methods of replacing brake fluid!
1. Tool preparation: Nut wrench, syringe
2. Use a nut wrench to loosen the screws at both ends of the oil brake and drain the aging oil inside the oil brake.
3. Use a syringe to inject new oil from the low end until new oil emerges from the upper end. (Injecting from low to high can effectively
reduce bubbles, and pushing slower will also result in fewer bubbles.)
4. First fix the upper screw, then fix the lower screw.
5. Check the brakes to see if there is any force. If it is strong, the oil change ends here. After testing later, you can start driving. If you are weak, you need to exhaust bubbles and adjust the brakes.
6. Exhaust bubble, unscrew the screw at the upper end, screw one end of the hose with an open end and a threaded end with a section of oil onto the thread, and then continuously pinch the brake until no bubbles come out from below in the pipe. Then release the brake and tighten the upper screw. Pinch the brake to see if it is strong. If it is strong, change the oil. If it is still weak, adjust the brake.
7. Adjust the brakes and use your method to lock the brakes up (my method is to remove the wheels and let the brake pads hold up to a certain degree). Then repeat the bubble discharge. After tightening the screws. Check the softness and hardness of the brakes.
